Through an understanding of the interaction between our personal constitutions, elements of our environment and qualities in our foods, we can begin to practice preventative care and dis-ease prevention. This class will introduce you to the philosophy and principles of Ayurveda, including the determination of your constitutional type, which helps determine which foods and herbs will best suit your body and help you achieve balance.<br />Part 2: This is the lifestyle class, which will focus on daily and seasonal routines of Ayurvedic medicine, including self abhyanga oil massage, breathing exercises, herbal teas for balance, food combining, tongue scraping, and more. Ayurvedic medicine has many elements to it, including those listed above, and is also the inspiration for yoga, which is most familiar to Americans. Learn daily self-care routines that are meant to help you maintain health.<br /><strong>Cost: $25/class or both classes for $40</strong></p>
